JTS049 – 7 Days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Treetops, Amboseli
Day 1. Nairobi-Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Depart Nairobi in the Morning for maasai Mara passing through the dramatic Great Rift Valley stopping at the view point, Ascend the western rim of the valley crossing the loita plains (maasai-land), see red-clad maasai warriors tend their multi-colored herds amongst plains game. Game viewing enroute to lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive inside the most scenic park in Kenya where great concentration of game is seen including the “Big Five”. Dinner and overnight at Royal Mara Lodge/Ilkeliani Camp/Mara Leisure Camp.
Day 2. Maasai mara National Reserve.
Morning and afternoon game viewing inside the Park. Search for wild game black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, grants gazelle are quite common, even the rare rhino might come out of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful, Extend your drive to the hippo point where schools of hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their displeasure as the crocodiles sunbathe on the river banks mouths agape. Between meals there is optional visit to the maasai villages for an insight to their culture if clients so wish. Meals and overnight at Royal Mara Lodge/Ilkeliani Camp/Mara Leisure Camp. Optional Balloon ride.
Day 3. Maasai Mara-Lake Nakuru National Park
Early morning (before breakfast) game viewing drive at maasai Mara in search of any wild game you might have missed previously. Return to lodge for breakfast and afterwards depart for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. Lake Nakuru is referred as pink lake for it’s thousands of pink flamingos and other bird life-it’s a bird watchers paradise. It has a surprisingly number of animals, it is a rhino sanctuary and the “Big Five” except the elephant can be seen here, afternoon game drive .Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge/Flamingo Hill Camp.
Day 4. Treetops.
Breakfast and depart for Treetops/The Ark in the Aberdares National Park arriving in time for lunch at the Outspan Country Club. Afternoon transfer to Treetops Lodge for floodlit game viewing among them Elephants, Rhino, Leopard, Bushbuck, Elusive Bongo , Giant Forest Hog etc. Dinner and overnight at the Treetops Lodge/The Ark.
Day 5. Treetops – Nairobi – Amboseli
Breakfast at lodge and depart for Nairobi with game viewing enroute as you leave the park. Lunch in Nairobi and proceed to Amboseli at the foot of the mighty snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, Game viewing enroute to the lodge .Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp/AA Lodge.
Day 6. Amboseli
Morning and afternoon game viewing inside the park. Amboseli is a photogenic Park and hosts great number of game including the lion, elephant and the splendid cheetah. Meals and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp/AA Lodge.
Day 7. Nairobi.
Breakfast, proceed for another game drive, after which you depart for Nairobi arriving at around 1300 hours.
