3 Days Masai Mara Safari
Leave Nairobi in the morning for the 3 Days Masai Mara Safari. We will make a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for sightseeing and photography. Arrive in time for lunch at your pre-booked Safari Camp/Lodge. Refreshed and unpacked, we set off in the late afternoon for our first game drive, enjoying endless views of the sprawling Savannah of the reserve and the animals that inhabit it. At the very start of your 3 days Masai Mara Safari chances are high that you may see lions roaming with their cubs, lurking through the grass and brush, zebras running across the grasslands, their hooves stirring up a cloud of dust, a cheetah seated on a termite mound scanning the horizon for prey, Masai Giraffes wandering around feeding from the tops of trees, playful, energetic and active thomspon gazelles feeding and numerous number of birds in the acacia trees. Return to your camp after sunset for dinner and overnight.
One of Kenya’s, an indeed Africa’s most popular parks, the Masai Mara National Reserve is home to almost every species of animal you can think of in relation to East Africa. The most spectacular and most memorable sights not to be missed while on a Masai Mara Safari is the the annual wildebeest migration which takes place in the months of July to October. Masai Mara is famous for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetah, gazelles, rhinos, hyenas among others. It’s also attractive for bird watchers.
The reserve’s terrain consists of vast stretches of uninterrupted plains on the eastern side and as you go further the savannah spotted with acacia woodlands gives way to a more varied landscape with hills and mountains. The Mara-Talek rivers provides the animals with a year round supply of water.
Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara Safari
This will be the most dramatic day of your 3 Days Masai Mara Safari Kenya, you will spend full day on game drive with picnic lunch – a large dose of safari excitement!
After breakfast leave your accommodation for a morning game drive with shards of sunlight piercing through the clouds above a pride of lions, herd of elephants, buffaloes among other animals and bird species. We will visit the Mara River to chance spotting wildebeest and zebra crossing the river or just the wildebeest crossing points, huge hippo pods and huge tree trunk sized crocodiles – animals that haven’t been affected by evolution for the last 100 million years. The Nile Crocodiles are apex predators with massive muscular bodies, covered in armoured scales – the ultimate masters of the ambush approach
Return to your accommodation by sunset. After dinner you can enjoy a well-earned drink at the bar or as you wind up the day at the campfire. As you retire to your room, enjoy the sounds of the bush and the sight of millions of stars in the dark night sky.
Day 3: End of the 3 Days Nairobi to Masai Mara Kenya Safari
Early morning breakfast then with game viewing en-route we depart for Nairobi arriving at your hotel in the afternoon.
